Marcella Pedersen is an award-winning stitcher whose practice began at the age of 10. Inspired by her aunt’s Bobbin Pin Lace, and taught embroidery stitches by her mother, Marcella has spent a lifetime creating works of art recognized for their skill and their beauty.
“With machine embroidery and factories making our clothing, hand embroidery seems to have lost its popularity…” She wanted to learn as many kinds of embroidery before they were lost all together.
