MUSEUM EVENTS

Each year, during the summer season, the Museum hosts a variety of events. Fundraisers like Coffee mornings and Hi, It’s Pie Days at the Duvall House are popular. Some years we organize a children’s camp which is always well-attended. Often, we send out a community-wide invitation to visit the Museum and Tomahawk Park to celebrate Heritage Day, Family Fun Day or Canada Day. Past events have included car rallies and speaking engagements with authors and historians, drama troupe productions on the railway platform, even garage sales!

COMMUNITY EVENTS

In the recent past, the Museum has also partnered with local communities and/or regional organizations on larger initiatives. For example: 

• 2019 Moving Forward with Reconciliation, a partnership with Little Pine First Nation and Lucky Man Cree Nation,
• 2012 Town of Cut Knife’s 100^th Anniversary, a weekend-long homecoming celebration, and 
• 2010 Trails of 1885, a tourism initiative marking the 125^th Anniversary of the Northwest  Resistance and the Battle at Cut Knife Creek
