Saskatchewan Historical Newspapers Online (SHNO)
The Saskatchewan Historical Newspapers Online (SHNO) is a project developed in partnership between the Saskatchewan Archives and Saskatchewan History Online . . .
The first stage of the project that you see here focuses upon Saskatchewan newspapers published during the Great War period, from January 1914 through to the end of hostilities in 1918 . . .
When completed, the SHNO project will have digitized, described, and made available over 100 years of newspapers published from over 100 separate communities across the province. This will amount to approximately 11 million pages of newsprint.
To browse the SHNO collection, please click here. The Cut Knife papers currently online are The Cut Knife Journal (1914) and The Cut Knife Grinder (1915).
As digitization of Saskatchewan’s community newspapers progresses, our website links will be updated, as well.
